Viewing SMS Messages: Slack Clerk Integration, Ring Central SMS

Clerk and SMS 

We can use our Clerk number in Slack to receive SMS messages. Our Clerk number is (973) 888-1097.

We also use this number for 2FA when SMS is the required method of 2FA verification. The Clerk number can receive text messages for 2FA purposes. 

As a matter of policy we do not communicate with customers via text. When absolutely necessary, we can use the Clerk number in Slack for this purpose. 

Ring Central and SMS

Texts that come into any tech's or office admin's DiD should also forward to this channel. (Used for some Apple IDs.) The email address for the channel is texts-in-and-outgoing-aaaaaysci66vgny5nr3gmj3qyy@nygg.slack.com .

Texts that come into the main company number go to office admin extension (x102). An admin can edit this from the RC desktop or mobile app to temporarily change the recipient. Go to Admin> Phone System>Fax / SMS recipient.


We do not use RingCentral to send text (SMS) messages, although we are registered with RC for SMS. We only use Clerk for this.
