POP mail is not very reliable because if there's a problem, the mail is stored locally on
the computer and not in the cloud. This will also result in time-consuming issues when setting up a new PC because calendars and contacts will need to be manually moved. Additonally, there's no backup of the calendar and contacts because they are not stored in the cloud, only in Outlook.
Frankly, icloud is not a business-worthy product.
All of our business customers use Microsoft 365 or some other form of hosted Exchange email. Exchange automatically syncs a user’s email, calendars and contacts to all his or her devices under one easily set up account. It also permits sharing of calendars and contacts between users if desired, and includes built in spam and phishing protection. There are other options that you may find useful such as the ability to send encrypted emails.
