Auto-Resolution Feature
This info is incorrect. I have seen tickets self-close after more than the "after X minutes resolve the alert" auto-resolution time. -RP
Based on the parameters you set up (1 minute, 5
minutes, etc.) if the monitor checks within that period and see
that the threshold has gone back to normal, it should auto-resolve the
alert. So the alert would move from open to resolved.
So, if auto-resolve is set for five minutes and the issue goes
away after ten minutes, would it NOT auto-resolve because it's past the
five minute threshold.
If you want to give an issue more time to
resolve, set the time for longer.
Auto-resolution works for every monitor EXCEPT
event log monitors. For event log monitors you can configure an
auto-resolution but you need to set that up in the monitor under
auto-resolution. You essentially need to set another ID to look for in that
case. So say the event code was 1. Monitor checks and detects a 1 so it
generates the alert. Then let's say you configured the auto-resolution to look
for code 2. If the monitor checks and sees code 2 it will then
auto-resolve.
This info is based on a chat between Roberta and Datto RMM support on 5/14/21. Email MSD file of chat is attached to this article.
Disabling Monitors for a Set Period of Time
If you want to disable monitors on a device for a set period of time, use the 3 dots at the top of the device.

Fill out the reason box and set the desired range for the alerts to be disabled.
Disabled Monitors
If you disable a monitor permanently, please add it to this list and use the format of the original entry.
Alerts and Tickets
If an alert is already open on RMM the same alert will not be created until the original alert is closed.
Device Offline for 14 Days
The monitor is configured to autoclose the alert if it's no longer applicable.
If you manually resolve the alert, a new alert will be created if the device is still showing offline after another 20160 minutes (14 days).
The only way to stop the monitor from creating another alert after resolving the alert manually is to disable the monitor on the device.
