Workstation Recommendation / Purchase Criteria

Must have specs: 

  1. Minimum Core i5 processor - Quad Core; Intel only
  1. TPM chip mandatory in most cases. Try to include and discuss with Roberta if it adds a lot to the price or causes shipping delays
  2. vPro Chip. Costs more but we can and should make the case to the customer that it will save them time and money as we can troubleshoot remotely if the machine crashes rather than coming on site or having them ship the machine to us. Especially important for desktop PCs (as opposed to laptops). 
  3. Windows 10 Pro mandatory

Preferred Specs (unless for very basic office use only):

  1. 16 GB memory;
  2. 512 GB SSD
  3. Monitor: 23" - 1920 X 1080; IPS panel type

You can also enter the CPU name in the search box on Intel's web site and look for info on VPro for that specific chip. 


Always check ports on PC and monitor for correct cord.
