How to Notify New RMM Customer of Service Start

  • As per IT Glue checklist item, on or just before service start date, send appropriate welcome message to all contacts. Use Think Automation. (See the table entry for trigger called "schedule send.")

Idea
If you have delegated access to the noreply email address, you can schedule it from OWA instead of using TA. In this case, copy and paste the welcome text into the email body.

The files are stored in the NYGG S3 bucket under path: PublicDownloads/HTML_files_for_TA_Emails. Get the URL using S3 Browser, ctrl-w . 


Backup copies of the HTML files are stored in GGIT SharePoint site under folder "Copies of HTML letters stored in NYGG S3 bucket."

Notes
To edit the file (generally not necessary and inadvisable), edit the copy on the SharePoint site and then upload it with the same name to the bucket location. If you change the name you must document it above. If you edit the file, send a test email before sending to a customer. Make sure to set the permission to read for all users.

There are also generic welcome letters in IT Glue but we generally don't use these because they cannot be sent inline in an email.
