Pre-Requisites


For Android phones, customer must have a Managed Google Play account

For iPhones, customer must have Apple business manager

There also needs to be a third-party MDM associated such as MS Intune. 

Configuring a phone for MDM


The first time the phone is set up, we need the physical device. It has to be sent to Matthew. (Customer pays shipping or provides shipping labels both ways.)

Once it's been configured, we can remotely wipe it before it's provided to a new user or retired. The next user will be prompted to sign into Company Portal. There are two ways to do this:

  • Enroll their device

  • View compliance requirements

  • Install assigned apps

  • See device status

Admins use https://intune.microsoft.com (the Intune admin center), but end users are directed to Company Portal.
